Toward the middle of the month, I think a lot of us have fallen into what I like to call the “February Funk”. It happens every year, but tends to be worse in extra cold and snowy winters such as this one. Being cooped up indoors with little to no sunshine for too long has left us with a major case of cabin fever!! Well beauties, it’s time to break out of the house and beat those winter blues once and for all.

Receiving a facial is a truly wonderful way to beat stress and raise endorphins. The way your skin will look and feel days later will keep the good times rolling and if you set up a new skin care regime, that feeling and glow will last you until spring. Our pick: G.M. Collin’s Collagen Facial will plump, soothe and hydrate your skin. You’ll leave feeling years younger and refreshed!

Another amazing way to feel better is to fake it until you make it! Believe it or not, if you put a smile on your face and think positive thoughts, your brain will eventually stop resisting and you truly will feel happier and more positive! Speaking of faking it, getting a spray tan is a great and safe way to lift your spirits on these dreary winter days. You may not have basked in the actual sun, but having a summer-esque glow will leave you daydreaming of hot summer days on the beach. Plus, that little bit of color will have you feeling more confident and better about your winter time blahs.

Get up and start moving! We know it’s tempting to stay put on the couch and hibernate, but exercise has been clinically proven to lift spirits and it’s never too early to start working on that bikini body. On a budget or no time? Check out these daily challenges we like to stick on our fridge-it’s a quick way to fit a workout in without ever having to hit the gym. Try doing while your coffee brews, during commercial breaks, etc. And don’t miss the mood boosting smoothie recipe below that!
