Vitamin C: We know it’s good for us and load up on it internally during cold and flu season to keep our immune systems boosted, but what you may not realize is how it can promote our skin’s health when applied topically. Ascorbic Acid, better known as Vitamin C, is a powerful antioxidant that assists in collagen production which is super useful considering this mighty vitamin also helps to slow pesky free radicals which cause collagen damage, fine lines and wrinkles and skin dryness. To put a cherry on top, Ascorbic Acid also provides added protection against the sun’s harmful UV rays (but be sure to still always pair with a sunscreen) and can even help minimize some of the sun damage that’s already been done.
At this point, we can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to give C a chance! Give your skin a head start with G.M. Collin’s Sea C Spa Facial at Archbeauty! There are also many products on the market now that utilize this gem of an antioxidant, but here are some of our faves (plus check out a delish Vitamin C smoothie recipe after the jump):
Just a week or two after using this product, you’ll notice firmer, smoother and more radiant skin!
Plus it smells fantastic and will give you that extra boost in the am.
